DAMAI APPLICATION
The Modeling, Simulation, and Risk Prediction Center (PRISM) at ITB collaborates with BPJS Kesehatan in developing the DAMAI Application (Dashboard for Actuarial Management, Analytics, and Information) as a strategic step to strengthen actuarial analysis capacity in supporting the National Health Insurance (JKN) program. This activity aims to develop the compute engine and Fast-API previously built into a complete actuarial management application, accompanied by the creation of a logo as the visual identity of DAMAI. This application is designed to be directly used by the Actuarial Division team of BPJS Kesehatan as the main tool in the planning and strategic decision-making process.
The development of the DAMAI Application is a significant breakthrough for the national insurance and financial sector. Through an integrated system, this application can enhance medium- and long-term risk analysis capacity, provide more accurate projections, and strengthen the foundation of data-driven decision-making. Furthermore, this application will assist BPJS Kesehatan in mapping the institution’s ability to meet actuarial obligations, thereby better ensuring the sustainability of the JKN program.
This collaboration between PRISM ITB and BPJS Kesehatan reflects a real synergy between research institutions and public institutions in delivering innovative solutions with broad impact. With the support of computational technology and mathematical modeling, the DAMAI Application is expected to become a foundation for more adaptive, efficient, and sustainable risk management, as well as an example of best practices in actuarial technology development in Indonesia.
