Bandung — The Center for Modeling, Simulation, and Risk Prediction (PRISM) at Bandung Institute of Technology held the PRISM Seminar Series 2025 with the theme “Modeling Tomorrow: Predictive Risk Management.” This event took place at EQUATOR HUB, Jl. Cigadung Raya Timur No.96, Cibeunying Kaler Subdistrict, Bandung City, and featured risk management experts from the industrial sector and national regulators. The seminar was hosted by Dr. Rieske Hadianti, M.Si., who acted as the moderator.

The event featured three main speakers, namely Novi Imelda (Director of Risk Management and Compliance at PT Bahana TCW Investment Management), Benny K. Yudiaatmaja (Risk Management Expert and Founder of PT Variskindo), and Nani Patria (Director of the Actuarial Department for Insurance, Guarantee, and Pension Funds, OJK). The three speakers presented in-depth perspectives on current risk management practices, implementation challenges, and the need to strengthen analytical methodologies amid increasingly complex global economic dynamics.

In the presentation delivered, the speakers emphasized the importance of using predictive and simulation-based approaches in formulating effective risk management strategies. Methods such as predictive modeling, scenario simulation, and forward-looking risk assessment are considered increasingly relevant for the financial services industry, regulators, and public institutions in identifying risks early and responding to changes in market conditions. This approach allows institutions to understand potential economic shocks, project the impact of policies, and assess systemic risks in a more measurable way.

The implementation of the PRISM Seminar Series 2025 is part of PRISM ITB’s commitment to strengthening national capacity in risk analytics and supporting the development of a research ecosystem oriented towards data, prediction, and simulation. Through this activity, PRISM continues to encourage collaboration between academics, industry practitioners, and regulators to create methodological innovations capable of addressing risk challenges in the financial and public sectors.

PRISM is committed to continuously providing scientific forums that expand literacy and risk analysis capabilities in Indonesia, in line with its role as a center of excellence in technology-based and quantitative approach risk modeling, simulation, and prediction.
