Two researchers from PUI-PT Center for Modeling, Simulation, and Risk Prediction (PRISM), namely Dr. Fathimah Al-Ma’shumah, S.Si., M.Si. and Dr. Saladin Uttunggadewa, M.Si., attended as speakers at the peak event of the PPDP-OJK IDEA WRITING COMPETITION 2025 (IWC 2025) organized by the Financial Services Authority (OJK) through the Research and Development Program (PPDP) on October 14, 2025. This activity aims to encourage strategic research innovation that supports the strengthening of the financial services sector.
In the material presentation session, the two PRISM representatives introduced the PRISM application, a web-based risk analytics platform developed as one of the flagship products of PUI-PT PRISM. This platform integrates predictive modeling, scenario simulation, and data-driven forecasting into a single integrated system designed to support the analysis and decision-making processes in banks, financial institutions, regulators, and public corporations.
The PRISM application was developed to produce accurate, transparent, standardized, and replicable risk projections. By utilizing core models such as VAR(1), SARIMAX, and Monte Carlo Simulation, PRISM is capable of generating simulations up to 60 months ahead, including providing a shock modeling feature that depicts the system’s response to sudden changes, such as economic crises, interest rate adjustments, or exchange rate volatility.
PRISM’s participation in IWC 2025 demonstrates the institution’s commitment to supporting the strengthening of the national financial sector’s analytical capacity through research and data-based innovation. The presence of its researchers as speakers is expected to expand the use of risk analytics technology within financial institutions and regulators.
