Energy & Oil-Gas Risk Modeling

1 min read

The Research Consortium Optimization of Pipeline Network (RC-OPPINET) was established in March 2001 as a form of strategic collaboration between the Bandung Institute of Technology (ITB) and various companies in the oil and gas sector. This consortium was formed with the primary aim of conducting research and developing technology in the field of oil, gas, and geothermal production and transportation through mathematical modeling approaches and the development of innovative software.

Through targeted research activities, RC-OPPINET strives to make tangible contributions to the optimization of energy production and distribution processes, thereby supporting improvements in operational efficiency and the sustainability of the national energy industry. As the needs of industry partners evolve, the scope of the consortium’s research has also expanded, covering various aspects of fluid flow dynamics in production and transportation pipeline systems. This scientific approach is expected to be able to address technical challenges in the field and provide applicable solutions for the oil, gas, and geothermal industries in Indonesia.
