The Master’s and Doctoral Programs in Mathematics at Bandung Institute of Technology, in collaboration with the Center for Modeling, Simulation, and Risk Prediction (PRISM) ITB, organized a Writing Café Seminar on Friday, November 7, 2025, as an effort to enhance the academic capacity of postgraduate students, particularly in the field of scientific writing and research publication. This activity was held at CAS Building, 5th Floor, Seminar Room 5.1, Bandung Institute of Technology.
The seminar, themed “Sharing Journey in Scientific Writing: Reflections, Challenges, and Pathways for Graduate Students,” aimed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the processes, challenges, and strategies required in advanced scientific writing. Through this forum, participants are expected to gain a more structured perspective in developing academic manuscripts that meet the standards of scientific publication.
This seminar was guided by Dr. Ikha Magdalena, S.Si., M.Si. as the moderator and featured Adilan Widyawan M., S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. as the main speaker. In his presentation, he shared academic experiences and reflections related to scientific writing practices, while also providing guidance on strategic steps to overcome various obstacles commonly faced by graduate students in preparing research manuscripts.
Through this activity, PRISM ITB reaffirms its commitment to supporting the improvement of students’ academic quality, especially in strengthening scientific writing skills, which are an essential competence in the higher education and research environment.
