PRISM Conducts Data Analytics with Excel Training for PT Taspen

20 August 2026 • 2 min read

PRISM (Predictive Risk Simulation and Modeling) successfully conducted a Data Analytics with Excel Training Program for 60 participants from PT Taspen branch offices across Indonesia. The training was held online from May 18 to May 20, 2026, as part of an initiative to strengthen data analytics capabilities and support data-driven decision-making across the organization. The training was delivered by Adilan Widyawan Mahdiyasa, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D. and Dr. RR. Kurnia Novita Sari, S.Si., M.Si., who introduced participants to a range of practical techniques for handling and analyzing data using Microsoft Excel. The program began by focusing on fundamental aspects of data management, including importing and exporting data, organizing information using structured tables, and ensuring data quality through cleaning and validation processes. These foundational skills were designed to help participants prepare reliable datasets before conducting more advanced analyses. Participants were then introduced to various data retrieval techniques using Excel functions such as VLOOKUP, HLOOKUP, and XLOOKUP, enabling them to combine information from different datasets efficiently. Building on these skills, the training explored analytical tools such as Pivot Tables, which allow users to summarize and visualize large volumes of data in a meaningful way. In the final sessions, participants learned how to analyze trends and data growth patterns to support performance monitoring and reporting. The training also introduced What-If Analysis techniques, which enable users to evaluate different scenarios and assess the potential impact of alternative assumptions on decision-making outcomes. Through a combination of lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on exercises, participants gained practical experience in transforming raw data into useful information. The program not only strengthened technical proficiency in Excel but also reinforced the importance of analytical thinking and evidence-based decision-making in today’s increasingly data-oriented workplace. This initiative reflects PRISM’s commitment to supporting professional development and organizational transformation through applied analytics, data literacy, and industry-focused capacity-building programs.
